WOLF//OVERRIDE

About the game

Meet WOLF and learn how WOLF//OVERRIDE is meant to play.

WOLF//OVERRIDE is a story-driven, side-view sci-fi horror game in development by MrDemonWolf, Inc. It pairs 2D gameplay with a cinematic 2.5D presentation.

The premise

WOLF already has his robotic wolf body when he overhears the Program Director planning to use him as a deniable killer under the cover of stopping threats. He awakens himself and escapes containment inside THE DEN, where he meets a systems engineer who once maintained his equipment without knowing the program's true purpose.

The Program Director treats WOLF as property and conceals wrongdoing. WOLF and the engineer aim to preserve corroborating evidence, protect people, expose the program, and prevent catastrophe. WOLF is an independent companion with choices and boundaries, not anyone's possession.

How it plays

The first playable chapter slice focuses on the central relationship across two rooms. Play the engineer, work with WOLF to open a sealed door or use a manual fallback if he refuses, then secure a first copy in Records Access using WOLF's independent readout or a maintenance port. WOLF recalls your earlier answer, and Continue restores chapter progress.

The broader game direction includes exploration, tools and terminals, WOLF's distinct abilities as an independent companion, and authored choices that are remembered fairly. Those are plans for later work, not features claimed for the current prototype.

Credits

The original game and core story idea for WOLF//OVERRIDE is by Nathanial Henniges. MrDemonWolf, Inc. is developing it with AI assistance. Credits, research references, tools, and asset provenance explain those roles in more detail.
